This "C" word, the secret weapon that allows this student to enjoy exams.

It is once again the start of the school term. Perhaps a new environment, new school compound, new faces, new aspirations, new books, new look! haha! At the same time, some whined about the new level of "Desserts" (Spelt it backwards to get the true meaning) from school work, teachers faces (yeah, some faces can really give you a different meaning to life tsktsk).
I guess most students are still adjusting to the sleep late-wake up early lifestyle as compared to the sleep late-wake up late.

I was on msn with one of my students when I was so impressed with her attitude towards school work. She is a totally changed person compared to when she was P6. She used to whine on every single thing. Now just a few days back, though she still commented about how tough A-Maths was , it was in the positive sense as she knew that for her to Conquer this mental block, she has to do something. And do you know what she told me. I was shocked.

What happens if I do not take A-Maths?

Will students be allowed to offer H2 Maths (Maths Offered at JC Level) if they did not offer Additional Mathematics at ‘O’ Level?

The H2 Maths syllabus assumes knowledge of Additional Maths at 'O'  level. However, schools may allow students who did not offer Additional Maths at ‘O’ level to offer H2 Maths if they show an aptitude for the subject. These students must be prepared to put in the work to bridge the knowledge gap.

Depending on the route you are going to take, either Poly or JC, A-Maths is going to affect you in some ways.

O Level Exams Timetable

The school has just started and I was shocked to hear from students over MSN that their teachers are already showering them with "gifts". Some are rather generous! Haha.

This is especially so for students sitting for the O papers in 10 months time. Oh yes. 10 months, well I think with the public holidays, school holidays, it is less than 10 months.

The tentative exam timetable  for 2008 O Level dates (* 20 October - 12 November ) is available here on THE website.

But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin auld lang syne.

And there's a hand my trusty fiere,
And gie's a hand o thine,
And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught,
For auld lang syne
