Top Revision Strategy I Use On My Students To Help Them Score!
With time being the main concern for revision. When my students complete the basic concepts understanding, it is time for them to really put what they have learnt to application.
Are there times where they are unable to do the questions? Absolutely. Especially so when they just completed the fundamental understanding of the subject. That is where being a Coach, I come into the picture to guide them through simply by asking and asking so that they can think on their own answers through the questions asked. I strongly emphasize on this as isn’t this the thinking process you need to go through in the examination hall while doing the paper?
Now, I am also very encouraging as everyone need praises for every little action you have taken! Cheers!
Now is the time where most schools are generously presenting their students with the loads of papers to work on. It is unrealistics to complete ALL the papers especially the flow of the exam papers are endless. So what I get my students to do is to write down the steps for topics which they are very confident in and for topics which they are still not that great yet, step by step solutions are then required.
Based on the poll I have conducted on this website on your bottom right hand side, one of the biggest challenges in learning of Math is that :
This is proven effective revision method for all my students so far; time effective & optimial learning strategy, so I strongly suggest if you are a student, use this method and test it out. Please remember in order to effectively benefit from this way of revision, you need to totally clear on your basic concepts. Yes BASIC CONCEPTS.

What Happens When Integration Question Is in the form of Product?
0 Comments | Posted by alwaysLovely in A-Math, Learning Tools
I posted an interesting question on Integration here.
Allow me to repeat. There isn’t any product rule nor quotient rule in Integration.
So to Integrate the question, some “extra” work must be done to “dissolve” the product nature of the question.
These are the steps that must be taken even before Integration beings:
- Factorise the terms inside the Square Root
- Combine common term (2x+1) by applying Indices Law
- Remember to + c as this is a indefinite integral aka no limits given

Integration Mixed With Differentiation
2 Comments | Posted by alwaysLovely in A-Math, Weekly Question
In Integration, unlike Differentiation, there isn’t any product rule nor quotient rule. Having said this, examiners always like to present question in that form of either product or quotient. Students who aren’t able to see through their plot to confuse your mind will fall straight into their trap.
So LOOK OUT!
The question most students will ask next will be what to do when the Integration is presented in the manner as if we can use product or quotient rule aka the given question is in the form of a fraction.
These are the few ways you can work around it
- Simplifying either by breaking up the numerator
- Simplification by applying Indices Law (very useful when you are working with exponential or bases-powers)
- Apply partial fraction concept
Look at this question:
It is expressed as two product. How do we integrate?
Discuss your approach in the comment box below.
I will reveal the step by step approach by end of this week. Be sure to subscribe to www.singaporeolevelmaths.com/feed so that you will be notified of latest updates

I will be back sharing on some of the interesting questions on both A & E Maths so that all my readers regardless of where you are from can benefit from this sharing.
Cheers & Mug On Smartly!
