Jobs galore for students this holiday season


BENJAMIN Heng landed his dream vacation job last month. He was paid to play some of the latest video games to hit town.As a 'game marshal' hired to promote Microsoft's Xbox 360 console, the 20-year-old gave 'live' demonstrations at shopping malls, earning about $600 for eight days of work.

    As we are based in Singapore, I'm aint sure of your location.
    What I suggest is that you look up your local papers for summers jobs for students or check with your University office for internship opportunities.

    Mei Ping: To sell your old textbooks, you can announce them on different forums with students visiting. One of them could be stomp.com.sg
    Or you can go to Brass Basah to sell off your books. They do buy old textbooks from students but the price might not be that high.
    Or you can ask your juniors if they are interested to buy your books.

  7. Hello, I have just ended my O's examinations. I'm really bored being cooped up at home. I wanna get a job and spend my holidays worthwhile instead of just watching tv all day. You have any recommendations? I dont wanna do things like promoting and , waitress-kinda jobs. Do reply, thank you (:
