Line is part of us, in almost everything you see.
You must understand
- what equation of line is,
- how to find gradient,
- how to find the x and y intercepts,
- what's the relationship between a pair of parallel lines, (perpendicular lines are out of syllabus for E-Maths 4016)
- how to write the equation of line given the diagram and lastly,
- how to draw a line.
Do you love this topic on straight lines? Leave me your thoughts and reasons for your love/hate relationship toward lines.

I like this blogpost. Yes, indeed straight lines are important to us. Since kindergarden we have been taught the importance of straight lines. Keep sharing Ai Ling! =)

Dear Ai Ling,
Hope you are well. I'm receiving mail from you since long time. I always read the topic touching you and I feel you are very good in Mathematics as Math is your passion. But you wrote "I enjoy coaching students who have challenges with understanding and scoring in 'O' Level A-Maths and E-Maths". My question is here, why only coaching? why not formal teaching? Actually, I don't have any idea about your Math Background.
I'm Nasir Uddin. I did my MSc in Math from the university of Dhaka, Bangladesh in late 80's. I'm doing the job in ministry of education in Bangladesh as a teachers trainer.
I have a nice similarity to you where Mathematics is my passion, I love Mathematics.
Thank you very much.
Nasir

Thank you Nasir!
Formal teaching has its constraints and it doesn't involve 100% teaching but other administrative matters in school too.
