Ai Ling Ong

Hi, I'm Ai Ling Ong. I enjoy coaching students who have challenges with understanding and scoring in 'O' Level A-Maths and E-Maths. I develop Math strategies, sometimes ridiculous ideas to help students in understanding abstract concepts the fast and memorable way. I write this blog to share with you the stuff I teach in my class, the common mistakes my students made, the 'way' to think, analyze... If you have found this blog post useful, please share it with your friends. I will really appreciate it! :)

Just: "Acknowledge yourself , the fact that you know how to square double digit numbers ending with 5 only means that you are an expert compared to someone who still needs paper and calculator"

    Hi Gracious, the strategy works when you square number ending with '5' for example 65 * 65 = ? , 85 * 85 = ?
To do this, it's extremly easy,
#1: the answer will end with '25'
    #2: take the first digit (6) x (multipy by) (1 more than 6 =7)
    aka 6 * 7 = 42
    so the answer is 4225
    :)

This is to prove to students that Math is all about knowing & applying the strategy for them to love the subject and definitely score in exams.
